NATE WILLIAMS | Board Member

Nate has been affiliated with Strickland Security since 2007.  He began his professional career when he joined the U.S. Navy Reserves. During his training at Great Lakes Recruit Training in Illinois and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Nate received a meritorious promotion.

After Nate’s active duty training was completed, he went back to Georgia and joined the Dekalb County Police Department.  A highly motivated individual, Nate assumed leadership of his peers and encouraged them to be the best mental and physical version of themselves, knowing what it takes to be part of a team while being a leader and teacher.  During his police career, Nate was elevated to Field Training Officer.  He also participated in undercover details in anti-drug investigation and enforcement where his investigative skills made a positive impact on the safety of the community and was entrusted with the care of the Canadian Mountaineers during their time with the Dekalb Police.  He was awarded Officer of the Month and recognition by the Chief of Police multiple times, received a Departmental Commendation for service above and beyond expectations, and was awarded the Exceptional Merit Award for his conspicuous heroism under life-threatening circumstances.  Nate has undergone active shooter response training and advanced firearms training.  Most of his police career has been evening watch hours, and he became well known by HOA organizations and businesses in his area for his exceptional service.

Nate was called to active duty for the U.S. Navy Seabees in Balad, Iraq, where he earned a promotion, a Seabee Warfare Combat Insignia, and other joint military insignias.  During this time, he was chosen to train in combat life-saving techniques and travel as support to an elite group of servicemen.  Nate was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy with the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.

He is now a full-time member of the Strickland Team, blending community, safety, and customer service with his military and police background.  He believes safety starts within homes and businesses and spreads out to other aspects of life.
